Summary: The life changing story of a boy with the name Lee Hyukjae, and the most-wanted criminal, the Silver Thief Lord.
I started calling myself a Lord when I was five, when my dad told me that I acted like a ‘mother-fucking lord’ in the house. And since my favourite colour is silver, it became the Silver Lord. Then, the name Silver Thief Lord stuck when I was clearly the best criminal out there. I’ve stolen and bullied so many things and people, but because of my parents and their connections, I’ve never had to worry about going to jail. And as the Silver Thief Lord, hardly any of the policemen found out that pretty much ninety percent of what is being stolen is by me. That’s the beauty of being the Silver Thief Lord. No one catches you. It’s like you’re invisible.
I know. I told you guys that I wasn’t the thief lord and everything but you know. Blame the author.
Ow not again!
The house was surprisingly structured well inside; it was just the outside that looked crappy. There were two floors, the top floor was where Donghae slept and the bottom floor was were the kitchen was and Sungmin’s sleeping area.
There were no beds and no mattresses obviously. They slept on hay.
Yes like an actual pile of hay.
“Oh don’t worry, you can put on a sheet on top of the hay, it’s quite comfortable.” Rikyu had said cheerfully.
I tried to give her back a forced smile.
It didn’t work.
Oh and guess where the bathroom is.
Rikyu left a few hours later, after showing me around the country side. There wasn’t much to see, just the garden and farm that Sungmin and Donghae tended, their cow and the houses of their close friends.
All the houses looked the same. They were all like dumps, just garbage piled up together.
I missed my house already.
I met four new people, all who looked like they had never seen anything like a musical in their lives. Well maybe except for Hangeng. My personal favourites were Ryeowook and Hangeng, because Ryeowook was a fan of Yesung/Jongwoon and Hangeng actually knew about the rich city.
My least favourite was Youngwoon, Sungmin and Donghae.
Youngwoon looked like he was going to kill you with those intense eyes, and he was so protective of Jungsu that it was stupid. And it was obvious that Sungmin hated me to pieces. And Donghae…
I don’t know how to explain Donghae. He is mysterious, and he doesn’t talk a lot.
His eyes bother me.
We went back to the house and Sungmin explained that I was going to sleep upstairs with Donghae. I started to sort my stuff out in the second floor, trying to avoid Donghae who was sitting in his haystack, which was next to mine. He watched me with those cloth covered eyes, not saying anything.
“What’s that..?” he asked me suddenly, very slowly.
“What?” I looked up surprised that he even talked.
“That.” he pointed awkwardly to the direction where my iPhone was sitting.
“You mean this? It’s a phone.”
“Can I feel it?”
He took it gently, as if it were a bomb about to explode any second. He caressed it like he had never seen such a thing before, awed at how thin it was and the light of it.
“Pretty.” He whispered. Then he rolled over on his haystack and acted as if nothing happened.
He pisses me off so much.
Sungmin showed me how to pull out the vegetables form the back of their garden and farm, which I learned quickly that I shouldn’t have worn my black leather boots. Once I saw how dirty they were, everything Sungmin told me literally went through one ear and left through the other.
“-so do you get it?”
“SUNGMIN SSI MY BOOTS ARE DIRTY!” I cried.
“Well you shouldn’t have worn those then!”
“You should have told me!”
“Let me guess, you brought along all your nice and rich clothing with you haven’t you.”
But before I could say anything, Donghae started to cough violently in his wheelchair behind us.
“H-Hyung look!” he managed to wheeze out. “I- I got the tomatoes out-”
“Donghae! Are you okay??”
Sungmin ran next to his brother, checking his forehead to see if he was alright.
I just stared at them, not sure what to do.
“Y-yes Hyung..I’m okay now. But look! Tomato!” Donghae grinned when his coughing subsided.
Sungmin smiled weakly, stroking Donghae’s hair gently.
“Yes Donghae... you did very well!”
I turned my back from them, focusing on the pumpkin in front of me.
I had never seen anyone cough so violently.
Seriously, I wanted to escape this god damn place as soon as I could. I really did.
But Ryeowook is so good at cooking okay; it’s not my fault that I didn’t leave.
Besides, I was hungry.
We had fresh vegetables and fruits and fish that Leeteuk got us (which by the way Donghae refused to eat so he had his own seafood salad that he made himself) and this multigrain pasta thing which I still don’t know what it is but it was good.
Like, really good.
It was one of the best dinners I had.
We all ate together, something I hadn’t done with my family in a long time. It would have been great if I wasn’t here to make up for jail.
When dinner was over, Sungmin left to go to bed, leaving me with Donghae. He started to climb the ladder slowly, using his arm muscles mostly.
“You can climb this thing?” I asked him.
He nodded, sweat dotting his forehead.
“It’s the only way I can sleep upstairs.” He whispered when I started to climb the ladder.
“I was wondering why you slept here while Sungmin slept down stairs. Do you really like sleeping here or-”
“Yes. I love this place.” Donghae lay down on his haystack, looking up at the wooden ceiling.
Donghae was slowly taking off his cloth from his eyes but I couldn’t see anything.
“It’s the farthest I can get from the forest.” He answered, his voice barely a whisper.
But I got no answer from Donghae and all I heard was the steady rhythm of his breathing.
I woke up at five in the morning while Donghae was still sleeping to escape, only to find out that fucking Sungmin was already awake.
“Good morning. Did you sleep well?” Sungmin asked me gingerly, drinking hot water.
“You’re awake already?”
“Surprised? I’m surprised you’re already awake as well. I couldn’t sleep well last night that’s all. Were you thinking of escaping?” he smirked slightly. Then he went back to his ‘I-still-don’t-trust-you-bitch-face’
“What! Of course not! Who do you think I am?”
“Hhhyyuuuunnggg…” Donghae’s soft voice came out of nowhere.
“Go bring Donghae down here.” Sungmin ordered me.
Bitch please. I am the Silver Thief Lord okay. A LORD. I don’t take orders.
“Nah it’s okay.” I dared to say.
“What did you say? Go get Donghae.”
“I don’t want to.”
“The reason you’re here is to take care of Donghae and learn from us! If you don’t do anything there’s no point in being here!”
“Well I don’t see why Donghae can’t come down here by himself, he went up perfectly fine.”
“That’s because Donghae is-”
“Go get Donghae now.”
“Or else what?”
“Listen, I still don’t trust you and I never wanted you here. I’m scared that you’re going to hurt Donghae, and I wished you never came. Donghae doesn’t know that you are a criminal, and if he did, oh god who knows what would happen. If you want me to accept you, you better earn it. At least start to prove me wrong Hyukjae.”
After a long glaring competition, I lost and I got Donghae out of bed and carried him down, growling.
Make that princess carried him all the way down.
Once Sungmin saw Donghae, his expression became softer and he smiled.
“Why don’t you two go fishing after breakfast Donghae? I’m going to go to the market nearby to get some spices that Hangeng wanted. Donghae will watch and I’ll get Kangin or Leeteuk to teach you Hyukjae.”
“Okay it’s settled. Now eat up.”
Sungmin gave us a plate of jajangmyun in front of us, and Donghae gasped excitedly.
“Jajangmyun! Where did you get this hyung!”
“Hangeng got it for us.” Then he turned to me.
“I’m sure you always have better food than this all the time but this is precious to us. Eat like you actually enjoy it at least.”
“What does that mean Minnie, what do you mean he always had better food than thi-”
“Nothing Haemint~ now eat before it gets cold.
I stared down at my plate, ashamed of myself. True, I always had jajagmyun for snacks and I always had better food. But they were never made with love.
I never had better jajagmyun in my life.
My plan for escaping was being postponed and I didn’t like it one bit but I decided that it would have to wait. I got Leeteuk (after running away from Kangin) to teach me how to fish and I sat down on the sand in front of the sea waiting for a stupid fish to come and eat my bait. I didn’t know where Donghae was but Leetuek told me to not worry, so I didn’t.
I caught one fish, then another and I was on a roll. I didn’t notice the sea level rising and rising and honestly, I didn’t care at the time. When you’re on a roll, you don’t stop.
Suddenly, I slipped on some seaweed on the sand and hit my head, the fish flying around me.
I felt something pull me down, into the water.
I think I’m a pretty good swimmer actually, but when you hit your head and you get your foot caught in a bunch of seaweed and have something pull you down, it’s hard to escape.
I was being pulled deeper and deeper in the water.
I was struggled to at least keep my head up, but it just got harder and harder to breath.
“SUNGMIN! SUNGMIN!” I screamed, the water level rising above me. I swallowed a shit load of water, and I cursed to myself.
Then I remembered than Sungmin wasn’t even here.
“DONGHAE!” I screamed with my last bit of power that was slowly draining out of me.
I saw a flash of red burst in front of me, before the black cool water enclosed me and I lost conscious of what was going on.
So I’m bored and I seriously have nothing to do so I updated my fanfiction request thing, made a Master List AND updated this. I have no life lol.
